True ministers of God

We live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our ministry. 4 In everything we do, we show that we are true ministers of God. We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind. 5 We have been beaten, been put in prison, faced angry mobs, worked to exhaustion, endured sleepless nights, and gone without food. 6 We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us,[c] and by our sincere love. 7 We faithfully preach the truth. God’s power is working in us. We use the weapons of righteousness in the right hand for attack and the left hand for defense.
( 2 Cor 6:3-7 NLT)

But I am in prayer

God of my praise,
Do not be silent!

For they have opened the wicked and deceitful mouth against me;
They have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

They have also surrounded me with words of hatred,
And fought against me without cause.

In return for my love they act as my accusers;
But I am in prayer. Psalm 109:1-4 NASB

Have you ever find yourself in the midst of trouble and in the deepest pit? Surrounded by problems, overwhelmed by bad news? Just one phone call can turn your life upside down? And you are hearing so many words of hatred around you? Do you live in the confusion?

These bible verses above are so astounding!!!
Just a simple statement, yet are so powerful. David had chosen to be in PRAYER. He had chosen that no matter who surrounded him and no matter what circumstances he was in.

Again I say to my soul, but I am in prayer! I want to be found in prayer.

We tend to use prayer as a last resort, but God wants it to be our first line of defense. We pray when there's nothing else we can do, but God wants us to pray before we do anything at all. ~ Oswald Chambers ~

Steep your life in God

If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works.

Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.

Matthew 6:30-33 The Message

In times of trouble

Slow to anger is stronger than the mighty

Many people believe anger is their strength. We use our anger to control other people. Many times, we use our anger to get our way or even use it as our "shield" so no one can hurt us. And we believe because of our anger, other people will be afraid of us and "respect" us.

However, if we read this verse, it states that those who are slow to anger are better than the mighty, meaning those who are patient are STRONGER than those who are powerful. Those who control their spirit are STRONGER or BETTER than those who conquer the whole city.

In conclusion, it is better to be able to control our own selves (spirit, soul and emotion) than control other people by using our anger.

God created our emotion not to control or hurt others. Instead, He wants us to use it to bring glory to His name!

Better a patient person than a warrior,
those with self-control than those who take a city.
